Hospital Pharmacy Leader and EnOPrep Co-Founder Blake Shay became aware of a significant problem while implementing operational changes to comply with United States Pharmacopeia (USP) chapter <800> hazardous drug handling safety standards. Nursing feedback revealed significant safety gaps and inefficiencies when crushing medications for mixing and administration. 

Recognizing the ideal process would allow a nurse to safely prepare these medications at the point of care, Blake engaged his Co-Founders Austin Tull and Ward Broom to develop a solution.
